For the municipality of Meilen, a small town in Switzerland, BOARDTAGS upcycled the street banner and made 40 cosmetic pouches out of it. With this project, we saved 5kg of material, which would have been burned in waste incineration. The poster will hopefully remain in use for many years to come as we have used very strong threads (used for airbags and parachute sewing) and high-quality zippers. The production was a challenge since the material resembles artificial leather to the touch, but is very slippery and therefore difficult to sew. However, 40 cosmetic bags were created which will be gifted on special occasions.
